Pacific Rim College is a Designated Private Training Institution in British Columbia.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada

Pacific Rim College is a Designated Learning Institution (#O19304067532) with Citizenship and Immigration Canada, which permits international students to study in all of PRC’s programs.

EQA

Pacific Rim College has met the eligibility requirements and has been granted permission to use BC’s Education Quality Assurance Designation for British Columbia-based operations.

Canada Student Loans

Canadian students are eligible to apply for Canada Student Loans for all programs at PRC except for the Japanese Acupuncture Certificate Program. Please visit www.hrsdc.gc.ca for information about Canada Student Loans. Students must submit either an online application or a paper application for student loans. Please print an application from the Canada Student Loans website or pick up an application from PRC or any other academic institution registered with Canada Student Loans.

American Herbalist Guild

Graduates of the Diploma of Phytotherapy are eligible for membership into the American Herbalists Guild, a non-profit educational organization representing herbalists and providing peer-review in US for professional herbalists specializing in the medicinal use of plants.

Ontario Herbalists Association

Graduates of the Diploma of Phytotherapy program are eligible for Professional Membership into the Ontario Herbalists Association.

NANP

The Diploma of Holistic Nutrition is recognized by the National Association of Nutrition Professionals as an approved and recommended education program. Graduates are qualified for professional membership with NANP and to sit for the holistic nutrition national board exam offered through the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board (HNCB). Successful exam candidates will become Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition.

Canadian Association for Integrative Nutrition

The School of Holistic Nutrition at PRC is approved by the Canadian Association for Integrative Nutrition. CAIN is a professional Association based in Vancouver, BC, founded on the principle that the Nutrition and Wellness Industry needs a unified voice. PRC Diploma of Holistic Nutrition graduates are eligible to use the designations of Registered Holistic Nutrition Practitioner (RHNP) and/or the Registered Nutritional Practitioner (RNP).

Canadian Health Coach Alliance

The School of Holistic Nutrition at PRC is approved by the Canadian Health Coach Alliance. CHC Alliance falls under the governance of the Canadian Association for Integrative Nutrition (CAIN).  They are committed to providing support, accreditation, and valuable business resources to Canada’s booming industry of Health Coaches.  Graduates of PRC’s Diploma of Holistic Nutrition are eligible to apply for membership to become a Registered Health Coach (RHC) and a Registered Health & Nutrition Coach (RNC-II).

CANNP

The Diploma of Holistic Nutrition is approved by the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners. CANNP is presently the only member-driven, professional Association specifically for Canadian Nutritional Consultants, with a focus on building successful careers in the field and providing exciting, innovative initiatives.

CHA of BC

Graduates of the Diploma of Phytotherapy program are eligible for Professional Membership into the Canadian Herbalist Association of BC.

CTCMA

The curricula for all diploma programs in the School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine meet or exceed the licensing standards set by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. Registered Acupuncturist and Practitioners of Chinese Medicine in BC are permitted to practice throughout Canada.

State of Arizona Acupuncture Board of Examiners

The Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at Pacific Rim College has been approved by the State of Arizona Acupuncture Board of Examiners for acupuncture licensure. The program meets the requirements of R4-8-403 and R4-8-404 (licensure qualifier under Arizona Revised Statutes 32-3924(2)).

VIGBC

Pacific Rim College maintains the green standard of eco-certification with the Vancouver Island Green Business Certification. The Vancouver Island Green Business Certification was built to recognize the efforts of local businesses that are reducing their environmental impact.  For businesses, it is a guide to greening operations and educating staff.  For consumers, it is a symbol that lets you know which businesses have green practices.

Pacific Rim College is Bullfrog Powered. Bullfrog Power, Canada’s 100% green energy provider, offers homes and businesses clean, renewable energy solutions. Bullfrog’s green electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada under its EcoLogoM program – instead of from polluting sources like coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear. Pacific Rim College founder and president Todd Howard was named as one of Canada’s Top 100 Health Influencers by Optimyz Magazine in 2017! A feature on all those recognized is in the Vol.9 No.6 newsstand copy of Optimyz Magazine.

Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce

Pacific Rim College is a member of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce and was recognized as the Finalist for Business of the Year (11-25 employees) in 2015. PRC also was the Finalist for the Innovation in business award in 2011.

Pacific Rim College was named Vancouver Island ‘Professional Business of the Year’ in the 2016 Vancouver Island Business Excellence Awards.
