Time Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per week (flexible scheduling)

About the Opportunity

We are a small private health college committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for our students. We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Volunteer Library & Academic Assistant to support our library and academic operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in higher education, academic administration, and library services while contributing to student success.

Responsibilities

The successful volunteer may assist with a variety of projects, including:

•Organizing and maintaining library resources and collections

•Shelving, cataloguing, and inventory of books and learning materials

•Assisting with the development of library guides and resource displays

•Supporting students in locating library and academic resources

•Digitizing and organizing electronic files and learning materials

•Assisting faculty with educational resource preparation

•Supporting academic quality assurance and accreditation projects

•Conducting basic literature and resource searches

•Assisting with special projects that support teaching and learning

•Performing general administrative tasks related to library and academic services

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

•Is organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

•Has strong written and verbal communication skills

•Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and online research tools

•Enjoys organizing information and learning new systems

•Can work independently while also collaborating with faculty and staff

•Has an interest in education, health care, libraries, or academic administration

Previous library experience is an asset but is not required. Training will be provided.
