Natural Building Techniques (NBT102 )
This course introduces various natural building techniques, with a focus on cob earthen structures. Students are introduced to the various types of natural building options through lectures, hands-on opportunities and site visits. Students are given an overview of different types of natural building techniques and the background and rational for using natural materials. Students also have the opportunity to experiment with different hands-on techniques, which introduces students to different ways to build cob, weave willow trellising, build raised garden beds, compost bins, etc.
