School of Western Herbal Medicine
The School of Western Herbal Medicine (Phytotherapy) at PRC offers recognized diploma and certificate programs and courses in areas including Materia Medica, Herbal Energetics and Therapeutics, Dispensary Management, and Biomedicine. The Diploma of Phytotherapy is the most comprehensive program of Western Herbal Medicine in North America. The curricula for all diploma programs meets or exceeds the standards of various governing bodies around the world.
Western Herbal Medicine Programs
Community Herbalist Certificate
A unique 4-month program that introduces students to the incredible world of plants and their medicinal uses from various cultures.
Diploma of Phytotherapy
A 6-semester program that explores the medicinal uses of North American and European herbs. The program is comprised of both theoretical and practical courses, implementing advantages of hands-on study of plants.
Dual Diplomas of Acupuncture and Phytotherapy
A 5-year study option that combines our 3-year Diploma of Acupuncture program with our 3-year Diploma of Phytotherapy program.
Dual Diplomas of Phytotherapy and Holistic Nutrition
A 5-year study option that combines our 3-year Diploma of Phytotherapy program with our 3-year Diploma of Holistic Nutrition program.
Part-Time and Non-Matriculating Study Options
Individuals wishing to learn more about Western Herbal Medicine without enrolling in a full program are welcome to take individual courses as non-matriculating students.
