Amber Baker is a Victoria native who grew up in a self-described “meat, potatoes, and canned-corn kind of family” that never saw many fresh veggies. She realized her passion for health through sickness after a family member’s diagnosis. She began researching complementary care options and discovered the power of whole foods. Amber quickly dove into he world of holistic wellness and completed her Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) diploma in 2012 and is now a Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner (ROHP) and Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner (RNCP) through the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. More recently, she also received her Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner (CHCP) designation through Edison College.
Today Amber is a nutritionist at InspireHealth, a supportive cancer care centre, that she serendipitously discovered in her first week of school. On the weekends, you’ll find her leading cooking classes and educating others on the healing abilities of plant-based living, or perusing the farmers market in search of the perfect seasonal produce. She’s thankful to spend every day doing what she loves: sharing her knowledge of whole foods, learning how to better nourish her own body, and empowering individuals to become a part of their own health story.
