Kristen Miskelly is a biologist who specializes in the restoration and botany of southeastern Vancouver Island and is passionate about ecology, conservation, and native plant propagation. Kristen operates a native plant nursery and consulting business in Saanich that she hopes will assist others in conserving and enhancing natural habitat. Kristen is also a volunteer coordinator for the Haliburton Biodiversity project, which over the last seven years has worked with volunteers to restore wetland and meadow habitat at Haliburton Farm. Kristen received her MSc from the University of Victoria in 2012, focusing on the ancient vegetation of southern Vancouver Island. She has a diverse background in botany, conservation, and ecological restoration and has taught courses and workshops focused on plant identification, restoration techniques, and naturescaping for the last eight years.
