Acidity, Modern Diets & Degenerative Diseases: A Natural Prescription for Balancing pH
with RoseMarie Pierce, Saturday, February 27, 2021

Course Information
Learn to monitor, detect and correct acid-alkaline imbalances to optimize health and vitality.
As a Holistic Pharmacist, RoseMarie Pierce draws upon her nearly 50 years of experience in both natural and conventional medicine to explore the relationship between the internal body’s pH, diet, digestion and many of today’s common health concerns. She weaves her practical knowledge of pH monitoring, natural healing methods, and her extensive herb and nutrient knowledge into a guide for both the practitioner and consumer.
This 1-day intensive, live online workshop provides an in-depth understanding of internal body’s pH, alkaline- and acid-forming foods, buffering agents and their effects upon the pH of the body’s fluids and stomach acid, and how to correct the imbalances and optimize the body’s alkaline-acid balance in order to restore proper stomach acid secretions.
This workshop focuses on the body’s acid-alkaline balance and disease conditions attributed to or exacerbated by low-grade acidosis and the remedies. The connection between an acidic body, stress and proper digestion is also explored. Participants can expect to:
- Develop a thorough understanding of pH chemistry, body fluid compartments and movement, and the importance of blood pH
- Understand oxalate deposits and kidney stone formation; how to create urinary alkalization with citrates, and lemons
- Explore the importance of the major electrolytes/alkaline minerals, their interconnected roles in pH balance and how to effectively replace electrolyte loss
- Cover the function of the lymphatic system (including in the brain), acidic cellular waste, and how to support lymph detoxification and restore pH
- Review how the lungs and kidneys are involved in acid-base balance, the role of the bicarbonate buffer system and the elimination of excessive acid production
- Look at the effects of stress on the HPA axis, mineral loss, immune system suppression and increased appetite
- Discuss the effects of low-grade acidosis on bone density, cortisol levels, immunity, detoxification, energy, oxygen, hormonal imbalances, weight gain and poor athletic performance
- Explore how to measure the body’s internal pH effectively; discover the underlying cause of acidosis or alkalosis and remedy the imbalances
- Cover many natural methods, exercises, breathing techniques, beverages, foods, and supplementation for balancing pH
This workshop includes handouts, recipes, pH test instructions, and the 110-slide PowerPoint as a PDF.
