Explore how acupuncture supports recovery, and mental health with Ted van Hemert, R.Ac.
This 2-day workshop is designed for students of Acupuncture, Registered Acupuncturists, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners, and Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Addiction affects us all. The complexity and pervasiveness of addiction and mental health can be a confounding problem for acupuncturists. Many of us lack a way to understand the issues, and therefore how to tackle treatment. This weekend workshop provides a comprehensive model that blends neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and classical Chinese philosophy. You’ll leave with practical tools, protocols, and deeper insight into supporting patients through recovery and emotional balance.
*PRC diploma students will receive 1 ACU academic credit for this workshop.
Workshop Instructor
Ted has been a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia since 2001, and an instructor of acupuncture for more than 15 years. After completing a 4-year Masters Program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, he went on to lecture extensively to the public and practice in multidisciplinary clinics, hospitals, mental health and addictions programs, and other social services. Ted has been a faculty member of Pacific Rim College since it’s inception, teaching many core classes, and supervising in the clinic. Ted is passionate about both medicine and education, and has a private practice here in Victoria at www.acupunctureman.ca.

Withdrawal Policy
For workshop withdrawals submitted in writing 30 days or more before the start of the workshop, registrants will receive a full tuition refund less a $40 non-refundable registration fee. For workshop withdrawals submitted in writing more than 14 days but less than 30 days before the start of the workshop, registrants will receive a 50% tuition refund. Without exception, no refunds will be given for withdrawals less than 14 days before the start of the workshop.
