Anatomy and Orthopaedic Considerations of the Shoulder Girdle

Workshop Information

This course will review and expand on the anatomy and orthopaedic considerations for the shoulder girdle. This weekend will dedicate time for detailed anatomical review of the bones, muscles, ligaments, and nerves of the shoulder as well as discuss common pathologies, an orthopaedic assessment process, and treatment and exercise considerations for optimal patient recovery.

Workshop Instructor

Jon Cain is a Certified Athletic Therapist who graduated from Camosun College in 2014 with a Bachelor’s in Athletic and Exercise Therapy. He is a Victoria-born local with background in running, rock climbing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. With several years of experience in coaching young athletes as well, he brings an active approach to orthopedic treatment and rehab to clients in his private practice. A mind-body approach to health and guiding the body’s natural abilities to recovery are central philosophies to his treatment style.

Saturday and Sunday, August 5-6, 2023, 9:00am-5:00pm

Workshop Format

In-person at Pacific Rim College campus in Victoria, BC.

Workshop Tuition

Regular – $325 (Early Bird – $300, until May 8)
Students* – $300 (Early Bird – $275, until May 8)
PRC Alumni – $310 (Early Bird – $285, until May 8)

*PRC diploma students will receive 1 BMS academic credit for this workshop.

Withdrawal Policy

For workshop withdrawals submitted in writing 30 days or more before the start of the workshop, registrants will receive a full tuition refund less a $40 non-refundable registration fee.  For workshop withdrawals submitted in writing more than 14 days but less than 30 days before the start of the workshop, registrants will receive a 50% tuition refund.  Without exception, no refunds will be given for withdrawals less than 14 days before the start of the workshop.
