Aromatic Medicine: Clinical Protocols for the Immune and Nervous Systems

with Peter Conway, September 28-29, 2019

Course Information

“Aromatic Medicine” can be described as the medical use of essential oils (volatile oils), including taking them internally by mouth. This course explores specific treatment protocols for a number of conditions using essential oils via the three interfaces of respiratory, topical and digestive application.

This course will consider the evidence base and clinical experience around using essential oils to treat particular challenges facing the immune and nervous systems. On this intensive course you will discover how essential oils can be applied to treat specific infectious microorganisms, infectious conditions such as cystitis and chest infections, nervous system challenges such as stress, insomnia, and anxiety.

During this course you will experience essential oils in a number of ways: making up capsules and other preparations for internal use, preparing and applying oils topically, and creating blends for diffusion.

Course overview:

Day 1 – Immune system protocols and preparations

Day 2 – Nervous system protocols and preparations

This course will be of particular interest to herbal medicine students and practitioners but also to other students and practitioners who have a deep interest in the therapeutic use of essential oils.

Please note: essential oils will be used extensively throughout the course so that this course may not be suitable for those with chemical sensitivities.
