Like most small businesses, you’ll likely turn to the the Internet, which offers a significant opportunity to reach many people at relatively low cost. Over the past few years, web developers have designed many inexpensive or free tools intended to help small business people market and operate more efficiently. For a new practitioner, the volume of choice can feel overwhelming — even daunting.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to design your business systems in a way that is accessible, straightforward, and plenty of fun.
Marketing that Feels Good and Works
We’ll spend Saturday reviewing the challenges of online communication and discovering 7 ways that you can tell stories to create engagement. In particular, we’ll ask the following:
• How can your online presence capture the feeling of your practice?
• How can you save money by building your own great looking website using WordPress or Wix?
• How can you invite visitors to your site through blogging, social media, search engine optimization, newsletters, and paid advertising?
• How can you use the Internet’s reservoir of free images to create engagement and grow your patient list?
The portion will be conducted with a mixture of lecture, screen time, and creative discussion in break-out groups to hone your marketing story. We’ll integrate best practice business frameworks to hone your storytelling. You’ll leave with a clear strategy for your upcoming year of marketing.
Creating Hassle-Free Business Systems That Save Time and Effort
On Sunday, we’ll review how online systems can help you manage your practice. In particular, we’ll review the following:
• online accounting software
• online scheduling software
• online customer relationships management software
• best practice in customer support
Together, we’ll discuss how to design systems that are seamless, easy to use, and support your patient experience in a way that saves you time and resources. We’ll close by reviewing any outstanding conversations leftover from Saturday. You’ll leave energized to launch into the exciting world of building your practice!
Jordan Bower is an award-winning Digital Storyteller. He has led workshops on creative and holistic communication for organizations like Tourism Victoria, Tourism Vancouver Island, ASPECT BC, NetSquared Victoria, and Hollyhock. Based in Victoria, Jordan consults for businesses and non-profits located on three continents.
