Clinical Recordkeeping for TCM and Acupuncture Practitioners

Course Information

Clinical recordkeeping is essential for a competent and accountable practice. In this valuable workshop, learn how to create and maintain patient records. Specific topics covered include: medical history, informed consent and refusal, patient termination, legalities, and what is required by MSP. Exercises to create appropriate records for initial and follow-up visits, consent forms, and patient contracts will be outlined. This course is recommended by CTCMA for TCM and acupuncture practitioners. Registrants will receive a 50-page resource booklet.

Course Instructor

Dr. Graham graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver (ICTCM) in 2002. For over 10 years, she has dedicated the majority of her practice to the treatment of addiction and mental illness developing and implementing TCM based programs for various public and private agencies in BC. In addition to this work, she also spends four clinical days at a Sports and Rehabilitation clinic in North Vancouver. Passionate about the future practice and sustainability of TCM, Dr.Graham has been involved in many areas of the profession involving education, public speaking, job shadowing/mentoring, and program development. Most recently, she was appointed to the TCM Program Advisory Committee for Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and participated as a committee member to improve the Dr.TCM competencies for the CTCMA. This March, she was appointed as a professional member to the Healthcare Practitioners Special Committee for Audit by B.C.’s Ministry of Health.

Withdrawal Policy

For course withdrawals submitted in writing or in person 30 days or more before the start of the course, registrants will receive a full tuition refund less a $40 non-refundable registration fee. For course withdrawals submitted in writing or in person more than 14 days but less than 30 days before the start of the course, registrants will receive a 50% tuition refund. Without exception, no refunds will be given for course withdrawals less than 14 days before the start of the course.
