Introduction to Gao Baguazhang
with Rory Knapp-Fisher, March 25-26, 2023

Workshop Information
Bagua Zhang is one of the 3 “orthodox” internal martial arts from northern China along with Xingyi Quan and Taiji Quan. Bagua is well recognized for its characteristic “circle walking” exercise, which is the central practice of all substyles and lineages styles. In this workshop, we will be covering the fundamental requirements and practice of the Zhe Zong lineage of Gao style Baguazhang as well as 1 to 2 of the “changes” which are performed during the practice.
Whether you are interested in bagua as a martial art or as a health cultivation practice, the benefits originate from proper training of circle walking and various “palm changes”.
