Tui Na Gong Fu – Deepening skill in Chinese manual therapy
with Rory Knapp-Fisher, November 18-19, 2023

Workshop Information
Historically, those who were known for their tui na skills were often those who also practiced martial arts. The reason is simple: the structural requirements and ability to issue power in varying ways trained in traditional martial arts naturally spill into the therapeutic techniques of tui na. In this workshop we will draw on the principles of the neijia, or internal styles, of traditional martial arts to help develop more powerful, sustainable, and accurate tui na techniques. We will focus on
- Refining and improving some of the more ‘difficult’ to perform techniques.
- Applying techniques to different tissue types.
- Advanced applications and modifications of basic techniques.
- Combining tui na with acupuncture.
- And more!
